Game Description

Wages of War is an intense strategy wargame involving astute business negotiation and squad-level, commando-style warfare. The game takes place in a futuristic world where government and large corporations have turned to small bands of mercenaries to do their dirty work. The player assumes the role of a young entrepreneur trying to make it big in the cut-throat business of soldiers-for-hire. Success won't be easy because in Wages in War, you can kick ass on the battlefield, but if you don't turn a profit, you're out of business.

Features

Wages of War will challenge the player in more ways than one. Not only will players match their wit against a ruthless enemy on the field of battle, but they will also be faced with actual business scenarios that will affect the outcome of each mission. Negotiating mission contracts, acquiring crucial information, training your men, and dealing with crooked arms dealers - these tasks and more will challenge the most accomplished strategists even before they reach the battlefield.

With Wages of War, players will be able to choose from over 55 mercenaries and over 50 different weapons and explosives. Each mercenary has a unique personality and a set of characteristics that improve with experience. In addition, the capabilities and design of each weapon has been meticulously researched to add to the realistic quality of the game.

To further enhance the quality of gameplay, Wages of War utilizes "Assault Ware", the most advanced turn-based tactical AI yet developed. With each turn, this artificial intelligence makes a detailed assessment of every character on the field, taking into account weapon and weather conditions, supplies, morale, wounds, and a whole lot more.

Finally, Wages of War boasts over 10,000 frames of animation per character, offering a realism unsurpassed in most games of its genre. That animation, coupled with stunning 3-D graphics, will make players feel as if they were living the game, not just playing it.
