Hi, Jeehun Hwang!
Thanks very much for your letter.
1) We do not use copyrighted material of Id Sotfware in our game, but We are inspired by the ideas and atmosphere of the Quake game, and basically our game is based on the book "Revenge of Ragnack", which is written by the Members of our Team and is currently being prepared to be published in the Google Play Store. I think that in a week or so you can download it from my developer account on Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev? ... 2574540607
2) Our project is Open Source - I with my friends from school are developing a free game that will be published later along with other games and applications what did I do for Google Play https://play.google.com/store/search?q= ... rev&c=apps
And that's why we work for free. But, since you are not a member of our team we can pay you from our donations. Now we have in the box 45$ . What do you think for how many tracks this amount of money will be enough?
First of all we need the track "Intro Theme" (1), then "Base Ultabagr", "Country of Eternal Cold", "Lake shore", "Forest Razgik", "Ukir Mountains", "Cave of Horrors", "Waterfall Granu Varke" , "The Castle of the Dark Lord", "Base Ulmabash" and "Theme of Mechanical Ragnack" (9).
The rest of the tracks are just sound effects, lasting 1-3 seconds - "Bonus armor", "Bonus weapon", "Bonus invulnerability" and "Death of Ragnak" (5). In all, we need 15 tracks, 4 of which are sound effects.
P.S. I found your email very simple - I wrote "Jeehun Hwang composer e-mail" in the Google search and in some of pages which were in the links I was lucky to find your e-mail

> Hi Kozyrev,
> Thanks for your message and thanks for considering me for music in your project.
> I checked out the link you sent, but I had to rely on Google Translate, so I hope I didn't miss anything. It seems like an ambitious project and kudos to you for taking it on.
> I have a few questions regarding the project, and I apologize if somehow I missed any of it in the translation:
> 1. It says the game is based on the book, which is from the Quake universe - I'm not familiar with literature that spawned from the game but if you're naming the game after the book and making a derivative game, did you already work out licensing deals id Software, or whoever holds the intellectual property rights? Or is the original game based on literature or other work, and do you not need to procure such an agreement?
> 2. What is the timeframe you're looking at for the game's completion, and related, the time in which you need the music completed?
> 3. Would you be providing the music contract that would be drafted for international use, and what is the budget for the music (15 tracks)? And how would payment be arranged?
> I'm certainly interested in the project, so if you could provide me with the answers to above and the track listing with info along with it, I will take a look and get back to you promptly. I will be traveling for about 10 days starting this Sunday so I may not be able to respond quickly to mail during that period, but I will get back to you quickly before the trip and any further discussion after the trip.
> PS: I'm curious how you got this particular email address? Did you get it from somebody who worked on the previous Quake project? Just wondering because it's not listed with any of my current contact links.

>> Hello, Jeehun Hwang!
>> My name is Kozyrev Bogdan. I'm a programmer, live in Kazakhstan and I'm currently creating a game called «Revenge of Ragnack».

>> And for the game I need music in the same style in which you wrote music for addons to the first Quake (Scourge of Armagon, Dissolution of Eternity). In general, I need 15 tracks, lasting 3-6 minutes. It is advisable to use the same tools as in 1997. I'm waiting for your consent. As soon as this issue is resolved, I will send you the whole track listing with information on what music will be in each track.
>> P.S. Also I invite you to the forum! There we can better discuss everything that concerns the music for game «Revenge of Ragnack»
>> Sincerely, Bogdan (t800)
